Minigram Spices – Delivery, Returns & Refunds Policy

Last updated: September 2026

At Minigram Spices, we aim to prepare and despatch orders quickly and carefully. This policy explains our delivery arrangements and what to do if you need to cancel an order or there is a problem with your purchase.

1. UK delivery

We currently offer delivery to UK addresses using Royal Mail.

Our principal delivery options are:

Royal Mail 1st Class – Standard Delivery

This is our standard delivery option. Royal Mail currently aims to deliver 1st Class mail on the next working day, including Saturdays. This is a delivery aim and is not a guaranteed next-day service.

Royal Mail 2nd Class – Economy Delivery

Customers who prefer a lower-cost option may select Royal Mail 2nd Class. Royal Mail currently aims to deliver 2nd Class mail within three weekdays.

The available delivery options and charges will be displayed at checkout before payment is made.

2. Order cut-off and despatch

Our normal order cut-off time is:

2:00pm, Monday to Friday

Orders received before 2:00pm will normally be prepared and despatched the same working day.

Orders received after 2:00pm will normally be prepared and despatched the following working day.

Orders received after 2:00pm on Friday, or during Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday, will normally be processed on the next working day.

During particularly busy periods or where circumstances outside our reasonable control affect despatch, processing may take slightly longer.

If a significant delay affects your order, we will contact you where appropriate.

3. Delivery times

Delivery times quoted on our website are estimates based upon the delivery service selected.

Royal Mail 1st Class and 2nd Class are not guaranteed delivery services.

Weekends, public holidays, adverse weather, disruption to postal services and deliveries to some locations may affect delivery times.

Unless otherwise agreed with you, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within the period required by applicable consumer law. UK distance-selling rules generally require delivery within 30 days unless a different period has been agreed.

4. Delivery charges

Delivery charges are calculated according to the order and delivery option selected and will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.

We will not add delivery charges after your order has been placed unless you specifically agree to them.

5. Packaging

We take care to package Minigram Spices products so that they are protected during delivery.

Orders may be packed in appropriately sized protective mailing boxes or other suitable packaging depending upon the size and contents of the order.

Please recycle or reuse packaging where facilities and materials allow.

6. Incorrect delivery information

Please check your delivery address carefully before completing your order.

If you notice an error after ordering, contact us as soon as possible at alastair@minigramspices.co.uk.

If your order has not yet been despatched, we will try to correct the address.

We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has entered the delivery network.

7. Orders that have not arrived

If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us at:

alastair@minigramspices.co.uk

Please provide your order number and delivery postcode so that we can investigate.

We will work with you and, where appropriate, Royal Mail to resolve the matter.

Because Minigram selects the delivery service, I would not put wording in here saying that Minigram has no responsibility once an order has been handed to Royal Mail. Under consumer rules, risk generally remains with the trader until the goods come into the consumer's physical possession.

8. Damaged, incorrect or missing products

Please check your order when it arrives.

If a product is damaged, incorrect or missing, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

alastair@minigramspices.co.uk

Please provide your order number, details of the problem and, where appropriate, a photograph of the product and packaging.

We will investigate and provide an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement or refund.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.

9. Cancelling an order before despatch

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as quickly as possible.

If the order has not yet been prepared or despatched, we will normally be able to cancel it and arrange a refund.

Because we aim to despatch orders quickly, particularly orders received before our 2pm cut-off, it may not always be possible to stop an order once processing has begun.

10. Changing your mind after delivery

Consumers purchasing online generally have a statutory right to cancel eligible purchases within 14 days of receiving their goods, although certain exceptions apply.

If you wish to cancel or return an eligible purchase, please contact:

alastair@minigramspices.co.uk

We will provide appropriate return instructions.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies, refunds will be made in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Certain goods may be exempt from cancellation rights, including some goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly and certain sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed.

These exceptions do not affect your rights if goods are faulty, damaged, unsafe or not as described.

11. Opened food products

For food-safety and hygiene reasons, we would normally ask customers not to return opened spice or herb packs unless we specifically request that they do so.

If there is a problem with an opened product, please contact us before returning it.

We may ask for photographs, the product name, batch number, Best Before information and details of the problem so that we can investigate.

This is particularly useful for Minigram because the batch number will link the customer-facing pack back to the relevant sequential Inventora production batch.

12. Faulty or unsafe products

If you believe a Minigram Spices product is faulty, contaminated, unsafe or incorrectly labelled, please do not consume it.

Contact us as soon as possible at:

alastair@minigramspices.co.uk

Please retain the product and packaging until we advise you what to do, as we may require the batch information or product for investigation.

Where appropriate, we will provide a replacement or refund and take any necessary food-safety action.

13. Product withdrawals and recalls

Minigram Spices maintains batch traceability for its products.

In the unlikely event that a product needs to be withdrawn or recalled, we may contact customers who purchased or may have purchased the affected batch.

Please follow any instructions contained in a Minigram Spices product-safety or recall notification.

14. Refunds

Where a refund is due, it will normally be made using the original payment method.

The time taken for the refund to appear in your account may depend upon your payment provider.

Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
